Key Features

• Premium Abrasive Material: Constructed with high-quality aluminum oxide grain, ensuring effective and consistent abrasive action.
• Durable Bond: Features a robust phenolic resin bond that securely holds the abrasive to the non-woven material for extended pad life.
• Flexible Design: The unique flex design allows the pad to conform easily to intricate shapes and irregular surfaces, promoting uniform scuffing.
• Very Fine Grit: The maroon, very fine grit provides a consistent scratch pattern, crucial for achieving optimal adhesion of subsequent coatings.
• Non-Woven Construction: A special coating on the non-woven material resists loading and maintains aggressive cutting action throughout its use.

Applications

This versatile scuff pad is essential for numerous professional applications, including critical surface preparation before applying primers, sealers, basecoats, or clear coats in automotive refinishing. It is also highly effective for light deburring, cleaning, and general finishing tasks on various materials such as metal, plastic, and composites. The very fine grit is particularly well-suited for matting existing finishes, preparing blend panels, and achieving a uniform key for maximum adhesion.
