Heat Shrink Tubing FP-301, Color-Assortment Kit - 3M Automotive

The 3M Automotive Heat Shrink Tubing FP-301 Color-Assortment Kit, model 37677, is engineered to provide essential electrical insulation and reliable strain relief for a range of demanding automotive and industrial wiring applications. This professional-grade kit offers durable protection, consistent shrink performance, and clear identification, supporting critical repair and fabrication tasks for technicians and mechanics.

Key Features

• Durable Polyolefin Construction: This flexible yet robust tubing resists splitting, abrasion, and cold flow, delivering dependable protection for splices and terminations in challenging underhood, chassis, trailer, and industrial equipment wiring environments.
• 2:1 Shrink Ratio: Designed to shrink to 50% of its original diameter, it ensures a tight, secure fit over connectors, butt splices, ring terminals, and irregular shapes, providing effective insulation and strain relief.
• Flame-Retardant Insulation: Most colors are rated for 600V applications, adding a critical layer of safety in harness repairs and custom wiring projects where electrical integrity is paramount (clear tubing is not flame retardant).
• Color Assortment for Identification: Includes seven distinct colors (black, white, clear, red, blue, yellow, green) to facilitate efficient circuit coding, repair distinction, and future documentation in complex automotive and industrial electrical systems.
• Wide Service Temperature Range: Engineered to operate reliably from -67°F to 275°F (-55°C to 135°C), making it suitable for demanding engine compartments, interior harnesses, and industrial control panels exposed to extreme temperatures.

Applications

This heat shrink tubing kit serves as a practical solution for automotive harness repairs, accessory installations, and custom wiring on passenger vehicles, trucks, fleets, and off-road equipment. It is commonly utilized for insulating and sealing wire splices, protecting sensor and lighting leads, bundling harness branches, providing strain relief at connectors, and organizing circuits in industrial control cabinets, machinery, and equipment panels.
