The 3M Automotive Scotch Fine Line Striping Tape 06314 is a professional-grade masking solution engineered for achieving precise paint lines and intricate designs in automotive and industrial settings. This 25 mm (1 inch) wide tape is designed to help technicians efficiently create custom graphics, detailed striping, and clean color separations on a range of vehicles, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, and RVs, ensuring consistent, high-quality finishes.

Key Features

• Ultra-Sharp Paint Lines: Features a pre-slit design, allowing technicians to easily remove 1/16-inch or 1/8-inch inserts for consistently crisp, defined edges essential for intricate designs and detailed striping.
• Highly Conformable: Constructed from a tough, flexible polypropylene film that readily molds to tight curves, contours, and complex shapes without lifting or wrinkling, simplifying challenging masking tasks.
• Secure & Residue-Free Adhesion: Provides a reliable hold on various automotive and industrial substrates. It allows for taping over freshly painted acrylic lacquer or enamel surfaces with a reduced risk of imprinting, removing cleanly without adhesive residue.
• Durable and Resilient: The robust polypropylene film resists exposure to solvents and moisture, maintaining integrity under multiple coats of paint and in demanding environments, including bake cycles up to 250°F (121°C) for up to 30 minutes.
• Enhanced Productivity: The pre-slit functionality significantly reduces the time and effort required for masking detailed paint striping jobs, optimizing workflow in professional shops.

Applications

This professional fine line striping tape is widely used for creating sharp, defined paint lines in custom automotive paint and graphic applications. It is ideal for masking intricate patterns, multi-color designs, pinstriping, two-tone paint jobs, and lettering on vehicles such as cars, trucks, motorcycles, and RVs.
