High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is used in many different applications in both automotive and non-automotive pieces. It has a waxy feel, like low density polyethylene, but is stiffer and less flexible. You can find HDPE in fender liners, windshield washer bottles, and overflow tanks in automotive applications. In non-automotive applications, HDPE is used for ATV fenders, gas tanks, kayaks, canoes, playground equipment, and more. HDPE is naturally a translucent white color. Red pigment has been added to this welding rod to get a better match when welding red HDPE pieces. This is the bulk package of high density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic welding rod. Each rod is 12 inches (30 cm) long and 1/8th inch (3 mm) in diameter and there are approximately 257 rods in 1 lb. (0.45kg). There is a 10 lb. (4.5 kg) minimum order for bulk welding rod.
