Brake Caliper R&I Pins - Baum Tools

The Baum Tools T10439 Brake Caliper R&I Pins are engineered to facilitate the precise and secure removal and reinstallation of brake calipers in professional automotive and industrial service environments. These specialized pins provide stable guidance and support for the caliper, mitigating the risk of damage to sensitive components and ensuring accurate alignment during critical brake system procedures. They are particularly beneficial for large SUV brake calipers and vehicles utilizing a pin-style retention system for their calipers.

Key Features

• Controlled Caliper Handling: Offers stable support and guided movement for brake calipers by threading directly into the caliper bolt holes, allowing the caliper to be supported off the disc for easier service.
• Damage Prevention: Helps protect caliper housings, mounting ears, and delicate internal components from marring, distortion, or cross-loading during service.
• Professional-Grade Durability: Constructed from robust, professional-grade materials designed for consistent performance and long service life in demanding workshop conditions.
• Accurate Alignment: Facilitates precise caliper positioning, which is crucial for correct brake pad alignment and ensuring reliable braking system function, particularly vital for expensive ceramic brake discs.
• Enhanced Efficiency: Streamlines brake service procedures, enabling technicians to work more efficiently and reduce the potential for reworks.

Applications

The Baum Tools T10439 pins are designed for professional technicians and experienced mechanics performing various brake system services. They are specifically useful for vehicles with radially mounted brake calipers and M14 x 1.5 mm thread brake caliper bolts. This includes models such as the Audi Q7, Volkswagen Touareg (2010+), and Porsche Cayenne. Common applications include:

• Brake pad replacement
• Caliper overhaul and maintenance
• Rotor service and replacement

These tools prove invaluable in situations requiring precise handling to prevent damage to sensitive brake components, especially in applications with tight clearances.
