This tool has been designed to aid in the changing of the camshaft drive belt.

In operation, it locks the camshaft in the correct timing position allowing the drive belt to be removed. If the drive belt has been broken or is missing, this tool will locate the correct timing position of the camshaft as called for in the belt installation instructions.

This camshaft locking plate has been made with a position ground finish for an accurate fit.

For use on the following engines; Audi diesel and turbo diesel 1.6L/2.0L, and all VW diesel and turbo diesel 1.6L, and all Volvo diesel and Turbo diesel 6 cyl 2.4L. It also works with 1981-1986 Volvo Diesel and Turbo diesel 6 cyl 2.4L engines.
