Warning, For Compressed Air Service Only! Not to be used on life support systems or breathing air systems. Never use polycarbonate plastic bowls on air supplies by a compressor lubricated with synthetic oils or oil containing phosphate esters or chlorinate hydrocarbons. They can carry over into the air distribution systems and chemically attack and possibly rupture the bowls. For these applications use a metal bowl. Materials such as trichloroethylene, acetone, paint thinner or cleaning fluids will craze and/or rupture a polycarbonate bowl.
