Kd tools has been a leading brand of mostly American Made automotive hand and specialty tools since 1919.

In 2014 Apex Tool Group the owners of KD tools and the Gearwrench brand decided to change the name of the tool line to Gearwrench. This has lead to some confusion with our customers because what was once a brand of tools made by KD tools is now the name of the entire line of tools. We at toolsource want to assure our customers that the KD Tools they know and love are now wearing the Gearwrench name. Many products in the KD and Gearwrench brands are made off shore and we do our best to indicate what products are Made in the USA but we can not always guarantee this with 100% accuracy.

All KD tools products on our website are superceeded to the current Gearwrench product page. Please be assured these are the same products and quality you expect from the KD / Gearwrench brand and the APEX tool Group. All tools available under the Gearwrench brand carry the same warranty and support you would expect from KD Tools and the APEX tool group.
