Effective March 2001, a Federal Government mandate required that heavy-duty trucks have an in-cab trailer ABS warning lamp. Using a new SAE standard called PLC communication, the change requires trailer ABS ECU's to communicate with the tractor ECU via the J560 power line to activate the trailer warning lamp. NEXIQ's PLC Converter is for use with NEXIQ PLC test application (sold applications) for the Pro-Link Plus, PC or Heavy Duty Standard Suite for Palm OS application.
