The Perception - 2 Channel Lab Scope

The OTC Perception is a powerful 2-channel lab scope capable of the most sophisticated component testing, which you do not get with a graphing DMM. With "Glitch" capture you`ll see a driveability problem the microsecond it occurs.

The Perception can also display any meter reading as a graph showing changes over time. Dropouts, spikes, and the most subtle changes are clearly visible, pointing the way to accurate repairs. It`s also a powerful multimeter providing graphing capabilities and displaying up to three measurements of the signal at the same time.

And as technology and systems change, so will your Perception. Updating the tool is as simple as downloading the updated file from the internet. No obsolete equipment or cartridges!

Inside the Perception lies a powerful, yet easy to use tool for fighting troubleshooting battles.

The vehicle-specific database holds information about almost every domestic vehicle made from 1989 thru 2000, as well as many imports.

It also recommends the appropriate test procedure for quick, accurate repairs.

While other lab scopes can talk about their wiring diagrams, they cannot compare to those Perception gives you.

What you see on the screen is not some abbreviated drawing of a connector. It is a diagram showing pin numbers and wire colors for both the PCM and the component connector.

Scope Mode Display: Vertical markings at 0%, 50% and 100% of full scale

Trigger Level Position: Indicated by "T". Channel I trigger can be set at 25%, 50%, and 75% of full vertical scale.

DMM Mode Display: Consists of selected measurement and cumulative min/max values. Displays up to three measurements on one screen. Measures volts, ohms, dwell, duty cycle, peak to peak, peak volts, injector pulse width, injector on time, firing kV, burn kV, and burn time.

Graph Mode: Available on all multimeter functions. Time selectable at 5 seconds to 24 hours. Live and min/max measurements are displayed with graph.
