This diesel timing unit Model No. OEM1062 provides the diesel engine mechanic with a simple and easy way to check the timing of any diesel engine using Bosch or Stanadyne fuel injection systems. No tools are required. The patented transducer is clamped on a fuel injection line. It senses the pulses in the fuel line and sends a signal to the timing unit which counts the pulses and displays RPM digitally to an accuracy of ñ 1 RPM.
The same pulse signal fires a timing light, with which the mechanic can pick up the top dead center mark on the flywheel. The timing light is adjustable up or down with two buttons on the tester. Degrees off top dead center are displayed digitally on the unit, simultaneously with RPM.
The unit also has the capability of using an optional magnetic pickup to pick up a signal from a magnetic spot on the flywheel, integrating this signal with the signal from the fuel line transducer, and displaying degrees off top dead center digitally, simultaneously with RPM.
Three sizes of transducers are available for 5mm, 6mm, and 1/4" diameter fuel lines. The unit comes equipped with the 6mm and 1/4" transducers. The 5mm is available separately.
No. OEM1062 Diesel timing unit complete with timing light, 6mm (OEM1062-3) and 1/4" (OEM1062-2) transducers. Wt., 5 lgs., 13 oz.
OEM1062-1 Optional magnetic probe and OEM1058-1 optional 5mm transducer must be ordered separately. Contact ToolSource Customer Service for additional information on these options.
