A unique Return Fuel Volume Tester for Common Rail Injector Systems -- unique on the market and easy to use. The test kit measures the overflow (“spill” or return) of diesel from the injectors, indicating where insufficient or excess fluid is present, helping the technician to identify blockages or faulty injectors. Using this tool kit to diagnose which injector(s) may be faulty saves diagnostics time and may reduce repair costs.
This kit works by collecting unused diesel returning from the injector (low pressure) and displays the volume in a graduated measuring unit allowing volumetric differences to be observed. By observing difference, the technician can immediately identify which injector may be faulty.
Set up is easy and quick. The technician simply clips the measuring unit to a suitable place under the open hood with the pipes hanging down to reach the common rail injectors. Then, he or she removes any engine covers to gain access to the diesel injectors, identifies the injector type, selects the corresponding connector from the kit, and inserts these into the end of the long hoses. After that, he or she removes retaining clips, etc. from the OEM return connectors and replaces these with the kit connectors. By so doing, a closed loop is created where the excess diesel can be collected and difference may be seen.
Vehicle manufacturers use different injectors. This kit covers the majority of commonly-used injectors using adapters for Bosch, Siemens, Denso, and Delphi.
