Cooling System

Cooling System Tools

The cooling system in an automobile is responsible for keeping the engine from overheating. It does this by circulating coolant through the engine block and radiator. When the coolant reaches a certain temperature, it is pumped through the radiator, where it is cooled by the air passing through it. The cooled coolant is then returned to the engine block, where it absorbs heat again.

There are a number of different tools that are used to service the cooling system of an automobile. These tools include:

  • Coolant hose pliers: These pliers are used to grip and twist coolant hoses without damaging them.
  • Coolant flush: This is a chemical that is used to remove deposits from the cooling system.
  • Coolant tester: This tool is used to check the coolant level and condition.
  • Draining pan: This pan is used to catch the coolant that is drained from the cooling system.
  • Freon recovery machine: This machine is used to recover and recycle freon from the air conditioning system.
  • Hoses: These hoses are used to connect different components of the cooling system.
  • Pliers: These pliers are used to hold and turn nuts and bolts.
  • Rivet tool: This tool is used to remove and install rivets.
  • Socket set: This set of sockets is used to loosen and tighten bolts and nuts.
  • Tape measure: This tool is used to measure the length of hoses and other components.
  • Thermometer: This tool is used to measure the temperature of the coolant.

Types of Cooling System Tools
