- The Active Fuel Injector Tester (AFIT) is needed to address two current issues. Improve the accuracy of diagnostics for the new AFIM (Air Fuel Imbalance Monitor) system due to increasing CARB requirements, and improve the accuracy of current service procedures to reduce misdiagnosis of current fuel systems.
- Current service tools and SI procedures, which use a pressure gauge and the Tech 2, are not able to diagnose these systems with enough accuracy to determine the root cause of the driveabilty issue. Needless replacement of injectors occurs if not diagnosed correctly. CH-47976 replaces the current service tools and procedures.
- This new device uses a microprocessor and software program to completely automate the test procedure to eliminate any variations in test results due to technician testing methods or physical property changes of the fuel.
